2015 – ALFA ROMEO 4C SPIDER

Alfa Romeo took advantage of the Detroit Motor Show in the US to show the public the 4C Spider. The Italian brand has kept the essentials of the 4C Coupe, adding sculpted air intakes and a retractable roof on tarpaulin (with optional carbon fiber hard top). With aluminum chassis and monocoque carbon fiber, it has a roof that adds only 10 kg to the central engine model. All Spiders are manufactured from a high strength, 20% lighter, moldable composite material compared to steel. This two-seat sports version has more stylized headlights (similar to the 4C concept), a roof storage area with three air extractors, an aerodynamic spoiler and LED tail lights. Among the three exhaust systems available is a “dual mode” sports version of Akrapovic with carbon fiber coating. The Pirelli P-Zero AR Racing tires feature larger front and rear stabilizer bars, Pirelli P-Zero AR Racing tires, carbon fiber mirrors and sporty instrument panel with contrasting stitches. The carbon fiber windshield frame is also available. The 4C Spider has wheels with four all-new 17- to 19-inch designs that may have silver, red, yellow or black tweezers. It is available in seven exterior colors, including the new yellow Giallo. Inside, there are six shade combinations, there are two types of sports seat coverings. It has a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals, vent holes with carbon fiber rims and a seven-inch digital dashboard. It has an Alpine sound system. The engine is the already known 1.75 TBi turbocharged four-cylinder aluminum gasoline with 240 hp and 350 Nm of maximum torque (80% available at 1,700 rpm), which comes coupled to a dual-clutch TCT transmission with butterflies on the steering wheel that makes passes in 130 milliseconds (equivalent to 0.13 seconds). With it, the Spider is able to reach 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds, to reach 258 km / h of maximum speed and to register 1.25 “g” in deceleration of braking. The open version of the Italian sports car is scheduled to launch in the middle of the year 2015.

2015 – ALFA ROMEO 4C US VERSION

The Alfa Romeo 4C US Version 2015 will be offered in the US market with prices starting at $ 53,900 (excluding delivery charge). The Italian manufacturer will also offer the Launch Edition, which is limited to 500 units at a price of $ 69,695. The 4C US Version is considerably heavier than its European brother, which weighs only 895 kg. The US version has a dry weight of 1,050 kg. The reason is because the US Version model uses a stronger carbon fiber and some additional safety equipment in order for the car to comply with American regulations.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a turbocharged 1.8-liter petrol engine with 240 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a double clutch box. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is done in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 258 km / h. Consumption is on average 6.8 liters / 100 km with CO2 emissions of 157 g / km. However, the additional weight damages the American version numbers and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is 5.0 seconds and consumption increases to 8.0 liters / 100 km. The Alfa Romeo 4C 2015 will be offered through 86 dealers in the United States and Canada. The first deliveries will begin in the coming months. This will mark Alfa Romeo’s return to the US after a 20-year absence.

2015 – ALFA ROMEO 4C ZENDER

Zender presented its latest project involving the Alfa Romeo 4C. We may think that modifying a 4C should be an authentic matter of faith, but reality leads us to a very well-crafted work and probably a substantial improvement over the series model.Zender has done an interesting job in the style of the car, with small details that express even more the sport’s creamy image of the model. The larger and more aggressive front bumper air intakes have been worked on, adding to the new spoilers in the front lower part.Likewise, it features new side skirts and new spoilers in the rear that also has an airfoil in the engine cover, plus a more aggressive and stylized diffuser that in turn integrates new exhaust outlets. The set is completed with new alloy wheels with bolt in the center. The carbon fiber components of the exterior aesthetic kit combine with the interior because the material also covers the different frames. There are not so many changes in the look and Zender has just added a new leather upholstery and Alcantara contrasting with red stitching. The mechanical preparation is more discreet for the Alfa Romeo 4C, but not therefore insufficient. Zender was responsible for reducing the weight of the set at 15 kg thanks to the use of carbon fiber, but also gave a small update on the 1.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It now develops 275 hp of power compared to the original 240 hp, enough to give the Italian sports extra power.

2015 – ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA SPRINT SPECIALE

Alfa Romeo has launched the Giulietta Sprint Speciale in Italy. The Italian market is the most important for this brand that suffered from a shortage of models and versions until the arrival of the Alfa Romeo Giulia. The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale is based on the Giulietta Sprint version that was presented last year. This new version features sportier bumpers, larger exhaust vents and a new and attractive front grille trim.Inside the Giulietta Sprint Speciale, the sports seats lined in Alcantara with red stitching, leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, gearbox and pedals made of aluminum are eye-catching.Dynamically the model was upgraded with a new sports suspension and Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers. The car has an exit price in Italy of 27,500 euros and will be available with diesel engines of up to 175 hp and a gasoline of 170 hp.

2014 – ALFA ROMEO 4C SPIDER CONCEPT

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is being launched at the Geneva Motor Show as a concept and the good news is that Alfa Romeo will return to Brazil before the end of the year.

The main difference is that there is ceiling made in fabric with carbon fiber structure that can be removed. Due to the structural reinforcement needed to compensate for the lack of the roof, this sporting weight-penalty saw its weight increase by 60 kg, even if its chassis is in carbon fiber. In addition to the roof, the concept is also distinguished by exclusive headlights and newly designed wheels, in addition to the dual central exhaust outlet made of carbon and titanium, and equipped with an electronic system that gives it a more sporty sound.
The engine is the same as the closed version, ie a 1.75 Turbo four-cylinder and direct injection, which generates maximum power of 240 hp and 36 kgfm of torque. Equipped with double clutch TCT transmission, the 4C Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km / h.
The production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider should begin to be manufactured at the end of the year, reaching the market in 2015.

Back to Brazil

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the Fiat-Chrysler Group (FCA), who heads Alfa Romeo, said he plans to re-sell Alfa cars in Brazil. “I can not confirm anything for the moment, but soon you will have news. I can tell Italian car fans to rub their hands,” said the executive. Marchionne also assured that the official announcement of Alfa Romeo’s return to the Brazilian markets (where it came out 10 years ago) and North American (absent since 2008) markets should happen by the end of this semester.
